Has Your Hope Grown Dim?
Greeting Friends,
It has been a difficult week in Zimbabwe, and for all Zimbabweans across the globe. It is a time when the present and the future seems so dark and it seems there is none to guide the way. There is a knowing about what God is saying about the future, but a struggling to build a bridge across from the present. We should never fail to realize that the creator of the universe is our King and Helper. What should we be afraid of? It seems easy to say, but it can be very hard to apply. God knows at what stage we are all at. He promised never to leave us nor forsake us. See Psalm 46. We are to keep the leadership of our country greatly at the front of our prayers. Please to not blame, though it may be easy. PRAY. The pressure on them in tremendous, and there are many forces working in different directions. There is much much more than meets our eye. The situations are very complex and tenuous.
As I was praying, I saw a picture of a great ship moving from one large sea into another. This is the ship of Zimbabwe. To move into the new sea, we are passing though a great reef where many unseen objects lie hidden under the surface of the water. They are deep enough not be seen by the captain of the ship, but shallow enough to substantially mar the ship. I have great confidence in the Lord that we shall make it through! However, how we look after the passage and what damage is done is very pivotal upon the prayer of the saints. Keep praying friends!
Hebrews 10:35
“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.”
Keep persevering friends, not in your strength and faith, but in His! Amen.
Furthermore, I hear the Lord saying:
“For I know the disappointment that is being experienced, “says the Lord. It is not a time to cry, but to move on. Better times are coming - especially for those who trust in My word. There is a better season coming. I will multiply the little that you have. Some people are on the last of their food and bread. Each and every day, I will be faithful to keep you fed, and clothed. Remember the widow of Zarephath. Each day, I multiplied her oil and flour, so that she was sustained during the time of drought. Him who honors Me, I will honor.
It is a season of miracles. I will heal the sick. When you cannot afford to go to a doctor, I will be the great physican for you and your children.”
See 1 Kings 17. This passage of Kings has really been coming to my mind a lot. Feel free to read the chapters 16-18.
Also, as I was praying the other day I clearly heard the Lord say , “the rain is coming, the rain is coming!”. (1 Kings 18). How hard this is to understand, when things are at such a low point in our history! Nevertheless, we must continue to trust and hope. God is our hope, the creator of the heavens and earth is our refuge and strength. He Himself has promised to never leave or forsake us. His ears are open to our cries. Most of all, He loves us with an everlasting love and nothing shall pluck us out of His Hand.
“We praise you Lord, and declare that your kingdom is forever and ever. That you reign and will make all things good!”
Love and Blessings though Jesus Christ our redeemer!
