We Pray In The Gap

Lord,

“We cry out to you and ask for your mercy on Zimbabwe.  We stand in the gap as prayerful warriors and intercede for our beautiful nation.  Lord, we are being ravaged by sickness, disease and poverty.  Come to our rescue we pray.  Come to the rescue of the many orphaned children who hoping to find something today to eat.  Thank you that you are a Father to the fatherless.  We pray that you will arise with healing in your wings today from border to border.  May the devouring spirit be shutoff from the land and instead let healing come.  We continue to stand on the promise that we are a blessed nation and will be a blessing to nations.  We pray Lord for your mercy today.  See our plight.  Father where men may fails, may You succeed today.  The battle is Yours, but the victory is ours.

We bless our nation and say that we will triumph through You Christ Jesus!  Amen!”

Review

Friends:

I encourage you to take few minutes and review what the Lord has been saying to you, and through this website.  As we look to what Zimbabwe shall become we need to refocus on the picture that God has given us.  I believe that the Lord told us that the regional talks would fail and that some significant person would step down.  We have seen the former happening, we have also seen a number of people leaving their posts.  As fragmentation and disillusionment grows, lets keep praying that God will bring all things together.

There are many forces in life.  God is the very force that holds the cellular structure in our body together.  Scientists still struggle to understand why an atom stays in one piece.  On a large macro level, we as the people of humanity need God to hold the fibers of our society together.   The conclusion of the word the Lord spoke was that the talks would not succeed because the praise would go to man.  The Lord desires all praise to go to Him.  Let us not pray that they will fail! But I think we should be praying that unity, peace, reconcilation all occur, and furthermore that those who need rapid food assistance may receive it.  Pray for the leadership too.

I have one amazing testimony to share.  I attend a smallish church, but there a couple who are members who have been missionaries in Swaziland for some time.  God spoke to them in a very abrupt and clear way that they were supposed to leave Swaziland and go to Zimbabwe to rebuilt.  To my knowledge they did not know much about Zimbabwe at this time.  This is just from one church.  Imagine what God is doing around the globe at this time!

Friends, God is going to rebuilt Zimbabwe, and He is going to do it with you and me, and others who love and serve Him.  He is raising up the help that is needed.  Pray along these lines.  Perhaps there is something specific you should be praying through or thinking about?  God will give His people divine favour during these hard times!

Blessings in Christ Jesus our Lord!

May God Be Gracious To Us And Bless Us

Hello Friends,

Stacey was praying this week and God put Ps 67 on her heart for Zimbabwe.  This Psalm was actually written as a song and was originally accompanied by stringed instruments.

 1 May God be gracious to us and bless us
       and make his face shine upon us,
       Selah

 2 that your ways may be known on earth,
       your salvation among all nations.

 3 May the people of Zimbabwe praise you, O God;
       may all the peoples praise you.

 4 May the nations be glad and sing for joy,
       for you rule the peoples justly
       and guide the nations of the earth.
       Selah

 5 May the peoples praise you, O God;
       may all the peoples praise you.

 6 Then the land will yield its harvest,
       and God, our God, will bless us.

 7 God will bless us,
       and all the ends of the earth will fear him.
