About
Picture:
Christ is both the Lion and Lamb over our lives, and Zimbabwe in its entirety. He comes with the triumphant courage, stature and greatness of a lion, but with the quiet gentle submission as of a lamb, both pure and spotless, whose blood covers our sins and redeems us. Friends, pray that you may see Him as both of these in your life. (Rev 5.5, Rev 5.12)
Authors and Ministry:
This site is under the covering of Bethel Assemblies of God, Littlestown, PA http://bethelag.com/
Its authors are Keith and Dr. Stacey Lemmer. More details below.
The website was kindly sponsored and developed by Todd Schreiner: http://www.toddsplace.net/
“To cause hope to arise over our lives and our beautiful land.
That faith may be applied through prayer and action.
To see Christ’s love rule and abound in our hearts, homes and through every form of business, government and society.”
Mission Statement:
Voice of Hope is a not for profit site with a mission to:
1) Reunite Zimbabweans and supporters of Zimbabwe worldwide unto Jesus Christ and His love through the work of the Holy Spirit, prayer, exortation and teaching.
2) Secondly, to reunite us to one another across both racial and ethnical lines, and extend forgiveness where there is hurt by realising that we too were separated from God. It was Christ who stepped across that great divide and first forgave our sin so that we could be reconciled to Him and to one another. We must embrace this and follow His example, as difficult as it may be.
3) Thirdly, that we will come to understand what are our God given places in society, and what God has called us to fill in Zimbabwe (within or without). We need each other to reach completeness - just as a body needs every part to be perfectly functional. Every willing Zimbabwean has a place.
We so strongly believe that Christ wants us to be reunited to Him. For some it may be the for the first time, for other it may be a renewal or returning either in some thought or deed. The returning will re-fire and revive us! It will also permit us to truly forgive our fellowman where wrong was made. In the unity of the brothers, God does decree a blessing, and so it must be! We will then start to see and understand all that God has called us to be, and also to understand that we are princes and princesses in His kingdom. We all have a place and we need to find and clearly see what that place is for each one of us. There are many seats “vacant” in the figurative Zimbabwean council i.e. in business, industry, farming, churches, schools, hospitals, government and indeed every sector. It is our prayer that as you read and pray that you might have a revelation of who Jesus is, and who Jesus is inside of you. Arise, and embrace Christ and all He has for you. Zimbabwe has a great future, and you are part of the reason why!
As we pray, and the Lord shows us how to pray and where to put our hand to the plough, let us remember our leaders in fervent prayer as the Apostle Paul in the Bible states in 1 Timothy 2:
”1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone- 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, ”
We pray you will thoroughly enjoy our site and grow in His Grace! Have a prayerful attitude as you read our thoughts, prayers and prophetic words of Christ. Allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you as you do so, and continue to ask God to show you what He wants you to be, and then be prepared to change. Hold on tight, the best is yet to come!
In His Love,

How to know Christ!

What is Prophecy and is it valid today?
The site posts weekly messages and encouragement that are on our hearts. We also post any messages that we believe come directly from Christ. It has been questioned through the church if the Lord speaks to more than one one way in this day and age. I strongly believe this to be true. We have His written word which is such a sure anchor, but we know that He also speaks into our heart. This can grow clearer and clearer as we desire to communicate with the Lord more. He becomes wisdom to us.
If we look briefly in John at some of Jesus’ parting words, which surely carry great gravity. We read:
John 14:16
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever”
John 16:7
“But I tell you, it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper shall not come to you, but if I go I will send Him to you.”
Peter also says in Acts 2:38:
“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off-for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
So Christ has ascended; the Holy Spirit is here; and He is for you! Even if you have not heard much about the Holy Spirit and the work of the Holy Spirit I encourage you to read through John, Acts and 1 Corinthians. There are so many more refences than mentioned just now.
What does the Holy Spirit do?
John 16:13
“But when He the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth for He will not speak of His own initiative, but He whatever He hearts He will speak, and He will disclose to you what is to come. ”
We clearly see this when reading through the book of Acts. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 13-16 about giftings that pertain to the Spirit and I believe when accepted and practiced correctly will catapault the church to a new level. It is not spooky, but completely natural when we think of the Holy Spirit living inside of us and working His truth, and only truth, because He is the Spirit of truth.
We see from the above scripture that two of the key works of the Holy Spirit are that He speaks and reveals. You will no doubt encounter this on the Zimbabwe Voice of Hope. It is critical that we learn to walk in the full truths of the Holy Spirit. I believe it will guide us through many shallow waters, and dark nights at present and ahead.
In Acts 11: 27-29, the scripture says, “During this time some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch. One of them, named Agabus, stood up and through the Spirit predicted that a severe famine would spread over the entire Roman world. (This happened during the reign of Claudius.) The disciples, each according to his ability, decided to provide help for the brothers living in Judea.”
So we see that after Jesus was ascended to heaven and there were still true prophets and that by the Holy Spirit. Through Agabus the Holy Spirit revealed that there would be a world wide famine and so the church we able to prepare and support each other accordingly.
If we were to argue that the Bible is the complete work of God, and God no longer speaks into our hearts today by the Holy Spirit we would invalidate this passage, along with many others. I believe that there are many incidences in the church and world today where we need some real time feedback by the Holy Spirit to steer out of trouble and be helped. We also need general encouragement and exortation too. Most of all, if we look back to the first man - Adam. God so loved to communicate and talk with him. God made man for relationship with Him, and this has not changed today. We may find it so easy to talk to God about the ins and outs of our lives, let’s allow Him to talk to us about our daily affairs, the big stuff and the small details. He cares and He does have an opinion. Most of all He wants to talk to you, just about who He has made you and how He loves you for who you are! Listen to the Spirit of God and ask Him to fill you life afresh and to speak to you. You will be surprised what you will hear Him say!
Finally, I enclose what the prophet Joel said in Joel 2:
28 “And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
29 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
30 I will show wonders in the heavens
and on the earth,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
31 The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.
32 And everyone who calls
on the name of the LORD will be saved;
Ask yourself if these are the last days? Peter said on his sermon in Acts 2:16 . That the last days had begun. I believe they began when Christ accended into heaven and will be completed when He returns for His bride, His prize possession, the church.
Be ready to receive Him. Rise up and and take possession of all that He has called you to be and do in Him!
